Children`s appointment

Information needed to make an appointment
About the appointment

If you choose for your child to be treated at S. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution, we will send you a letter providing necessary information on your child’s appointment with us. Please read this letter carefully to make sure you have understood all the details.

It is imperative that the general health of your child allows him to travel long distances. If your child suffers from any kind of chronic disease, we recommend carrying his doctor’s prescription on hand, as well as the necessary medications. Furthermore, your child must have an International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) and a measles vaccination certificate to undergo the examination in our clinic.

If your child is not accompanied by a parents or guardian with legal parental responsibility, a notarized consent form signed by one of the parents must be provided.

What to expect during your child’s appointment

During your visit you will see a number of experts who may perform a range of tests to assess your child’s condition. These tests and examinations can be lengthy, and you must expect to spend several hours at the hospital. Please note that eye drops are often administered to enlarge the pupils, and this may blur your child’s vision for a couple of hours after the appointment. Your child may also be more sensitive to light.
